Rubbing JM's face in it

Or how to make a finale properly

So which one of us is going to tell JM that the series finale of Dr Who was watched by 9.4 million people, reaching 9.8 million 15 minutes before the end which was 50% of the TV viewing audience at the time.

Why does he keep insisting nothing is wrong with SGA and 1 million viewers is perfectly ok and we, the Anti, are scum of the universe because we don't like his precious Mary-Sue Atlantis, this attitude can only damage what credibility the show has left

I'd do it but the (pardon my French) fucking database, that is the best EVAH!!!! is being repaired, AGAIN

He doesn't care one whit for this show. He's only interested in producing something mindless and candy pop that people can watch, but not get too invested in. He won't do that with SG1 because that's the show he loves, but Atlantis is an afterthought.

JM has already dismissed us as lemmings. Our opinions don't matter to him. You can scream it from the rooftops that quality matters and it goes in one ear and out the other. Sci-Fi doesn't care about the ratings, obviously, so why should JM? He's got the go-ahead to produce more crap.

but how much of a loss of veiwers would it take for the network to see how much of the problems with the show is JM's fault and will he actually listen to the concerns of the network

GateWorld forum's down for repairs. Hah!

As for JM and SciFi not caring what the fans think... I'm beginning to wonder if they're all just marking time until they can cancel SGA and move on to Universe.

Because the "internet fans" are just "a small fraction of the fandom". Pfft. I can't tell you how many "casual viewers" I've ran into that turned off the tv as soon as they didn't see Weir or Beckett in the opening credits.

And I'm downloading first few eps of DW right now. Yay :D

That is it, they can't just keep insisting that the desertion by the veiwers is just 'A Few internet troublemakers', surely last year's veiwing figures must have set alarm bells ringing

Speaking of ratings ... I don't know HOW THE FUCK certain people (at GW) get the notion that "S4 had the highest ratings ever, blah de blah blah". Anyone know?

It's creative math. The ratings for this year include those silly 7 day figures. I'm old school. If you didn't watch it on Friday night, it doesn't count. And it really doesn't matter because S3 same day ratings were higher on average, which means their 7 day figures were probably higher as well. But whatever convinces people the cast changes didn't affect viewership.

ETA: Anyone else having issues with the forum? I tried to look into the S5 anti thread and it says I'm forbidden to view it. New rules against outside lemmings viewing the forum? Just kidding.

I have Sky+ and I do record my favourite series because I have to work in the evenings every other week, for my absolute favourite, Dr Who and Top Gear, I watch it as soon as I get home, none of this +7 day crap, yes people do go on holiday but isn't this clutching at straws, unless they're cheating by including people that watch it twice
